Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered Maps
Pre-release guide. Facts will be rechecked after the November 3, 2026 launch.
Eight locations return from 2002, each with day and night, for sixteen lighting setups. Most cities still have full maps and sliced variants (downtown, industrial, airport, castle). Pipeworks expanded the footprints so four kaiju can actually turn around. Weather is new. Destructible landmarks still double as weapons. If a building lights up, you can throw it.
The cities
Tokyo is dense and vertical. Alleys reward Anguirus. Night Tokyo is the postcard. Osaka splits east industrial from west castle grounds — Godzilla 2000’s classic unlock slice. London gives you Big Ben as a literal stick. San Francisco and Seattle are the American pair: water, hills, a sports bowl. Los Angeles includes an airport slice that flyers abuse. Pick these with your build in mind, not because you like the skyline.
Monster Island and the Mothership
Monster Island is the natural arena: lava hurts, rock towers hide Atari pickups on Medium or Hard Adventure. The Alien Mothership is the finale space. A green force field cages the center until you smash a pillar, then the rest of the ship opens. Mechagodzilla traditionally waits at the end of Adventure. The Adventure walkthrough lists the eight-fight path that lands you here.
Day, night, weather
Night is not a palette swap for screenshots. Darker streets hide UFO drops and make beam traces easier to read. Weather is a remaster extra confirmed in August 2026 UI comments. Rain on Tokyo will likely cut beam visibility and add spectacle, not a new physics sandbox. Destruction scoring still cares about how many tons you flatten; see Destruction Mode. Military units spawn on the monster that has wrecked the most property, so a proud city-clearer becomes the anti-air magnet.

Xbox-only stages from 2003
The original Xbox disc added a boxing ring and a Vortaak arena. Hands-on coverage has not confirmed those extras in the remaster. Do not pre-order expecting The Ring. If they appear, they will be noted here and on the unlock page.
FAQ
How many maps are in the remaster?
Eight named locations, day and night, plus the usual city slices. That is the 2002 GameCube set, enlarged.
Can I fight in New York or Monsterverse San Francisco?
No. San Francisco here is the 2002 mesh, rebuilt, not the 2014 film set.
Does lava on Monster Island still damage you?
Yes in the original, and hands-on has not said it was removed. Walk on rock.
How do I leave the Mothership core?
Destroy a large pillar inside the force field. The field drops and the rest of the arena opens.
