Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered
How to Play Destruction Mode in Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered
Pre-release guide. Facts will be rechecked after the November 3, 2026 launch.
Destruction Mode is a score attack against architecture. The Xbox original added it as a single-player extra; the remaster lists it among returning toys. You are not trying to pin a rival. You are trying to delete a skyline before the timer, the army, or another player deletes you. It is the mode that looks like the trailers.
What actually scores
Buildings, not chip on a kaiju. Dense downtowns (Tokyo, London, Los Angeles) print more points than Monster Island. Night does not change the math, only the screenshots. Thrown landmarks are worth routing toward — a lit tower is a bomb you get to carry. Beams that clip three houses beat a stylish combo on empty asphalt. Read maps before you pick a pretty but empty waterfront.
The army is the tax
Military units target the monster with the highest property damage. In solo Destruction that is always you. In versus Destruction it is the person winning. Tanks and masers chip. Choppers annoy flyers. You can spend time killing them or you can accept the chip and keep scoring. Killing them is usually a trap unless a health pickup is sitting on their tank. The items page is the rest of that economy.
A simple route
- Pick Heisei Godzilla or Gigan on Tokyo or London.
- Run a street, fierce the row, grab a lit tower, throw it down the next street.
- Ignore UFOs unless they dump health.
- If a rival exists, steal their building only when it is already lit.
- Stop beam-holding the sky. The sky does not score.
Flyers can cheese wide airports. Grapplers can cheese alleys. If you are practicing for local melee score rules, Destruction is the gym.

FAQ
Does knocking out another kaiju score in Destruction?
Not as the primary objective. Some versus settings may add a bonus; assume buildings pay the rent.
Best monster for Destruction?
Wide beams and run speed. Heisei Godzilla is honest. Ghidorah covers a street. Anguirus is too busy wrestling the army.
Can I destroy the Mothership for points?
The interior is a cage, not a downtown. Pick a city.
Will online have Destruction ladders?
Not announced. Local bragging rights are the current mode.
