Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered Release Date

Pre-release guide. Facts will be rechecked after the November 3, 2026 launch.

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered launches on November 3, 2026. Atari, Pipeworks, and Toho International picked Godzilla Day on purpose, the same seasonal window the 2002 GameCube original used when it arrived two weeks before Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The remaster now sits two weeks before Grand Theft Auto VI. That coincidence is marketing, not a warning. If you want a compact kaiju brawler instead of an open-world week-one, this is the dated product on the shelf.

What actually changed since 2002

This is not a resolution patch. Pipeworks rebuilt the fighter in Unreal Engine 5 and quotes about 99% mechanical fidelity. Online matchmaking is new. Unlocking is no longer a rigid Adventure chain. Arenas are larger. Weather now sits on stages. The UI is rebuilt, and game mode can be chosen at character select. Native haptics are in. Twelve kaiju and eight locations return, with day and night variants. Extra single-player campaigns for each monster are listed in official feature bullets.

If you are coming from Save the Earth or Unleashed, do not expect those later rosters. The remaster is specifically Destroy All Monsters Melee, the 2002 game, with Showa Mechagodzilla swapped onto the slot that used Heisei Mechagodzilla 2. Kiryu stays as the twelfth fighter. That choice is the biggest visual surprise in the announcement trailer.

Languages

Steam lists six interface languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), and Japanese. English has full voice. The others include subtitles. This wiki follows the same set. Steam now publishes minimum PC specs — a 2018-class six-core CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 6 GB / RX 580 8 GB floor. Recommended hardware is still blank on the store. Physical pre-orders are live for PS5 and Switch 2.

How to spend the wait

  • Read the how to play guide so the 2002 engine is not a surprise.
  • Study the tier list and builds before you dump currency.
  • Wishlist Steam and pre-order a physical copy if you collect sleeves.
  • Block October 15 for the demo.

FAQ

Why November 3?

November 3 is Godzilla Day, the date of the original 1954 film’s Japanese release. Pipeworks and Atari leaned into the anniversary instead of a random winter slot.

Is Xbox getting a physical copy?

Current official language confirms physical PS5 and Switch 2. Xbox Series and Steam are described as digital. That can change, but do not pre-order an Xbox disc that has not been listed.

Does it launch on original Nintendo Switch?

Press materials name both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Treat Switch 2 as the physical SKU and Switch as a digital listing until retail feeds say otherwise.

Will the price stay $29.99?

That is the announced digital price. Switch 2 physical is $39.99. Regional taxes and retailer extras sit on top.
