Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered Items

Items are not an inventory. They are the junk the Vortaak dump on your head while you try to remember whether you blocked. Four colored pickups drop from UFOs. Atari logos hide in specific buildings during Adventure and Survival on Medium or Hard. Mothra can be called as a guest attacker. Hedorah can crash the party uninvited. Military hardware then votes with guns for whoever flattened more skyline.

UFO power-ups

If the opponent’s Mothra is chewing on you, a beam shot makes her leave. That rule is in the original manual and is the kind of 99% fidelity detail that will still save a stock. Energy pickups matter more than they look because a dry beam bar turns gunner builds into slow punchers. Rage pickups are how Orga or Anguirus suddenly become the problem in local melee.

Hedorah and the army

Hedorah, the Smog Monster, is not playable. He can appear mid-fight, smear the arena, and slow energy regen. Wait him out or beam him until he evaporates. Military tanks, choppers, and maser units focus the kaiju with the highest property damage. That is why a Destruction-minded Heisei Godzilla suddenly eats rockets in Versus. If you want the pickups without the heat, smash less skyline or win faster. The Destruction guide treats the army as a score multiplier and a threat.

Atari logos and buildings as weapons

On Medium or Hard Adventure (and Survival in the original), one Atari logo can spawn per match inside a listed building. Touch it to unlock a gallery still. Easy mode does not spawn them. Buildings that highlight can be grabbed and thrown — Big Ben is the meme, but any lit tower works. Throwing a landmark is an item in all but name and is often cleaner than a fierce into block. Currency in the remaster is the new meta-item. It replaces the old “beat Adventure as X” gates. You still collect the old toys during matches; you just spend a separate wallet in the hub. Track both with the unlock tracker.
